Overview
After a travelling from Glasgow to Dundee by train we arrived and met up with several members of Euan's guide at the Discovery Point, had a cup of coffee and then had a quick chat about what we were going to do. We then split into smaller groups and set of into Dundee to have a look at venues and their accessibility. Our first stop was to find a place to sample the famous Dundee cake, we found one about 3/4 mile away from our starting point, it was a small tearoom called Fisher & Donaldson. We introduced ourselves and what our aim was.
Transport & Parking
We did not travel by car so I did not see any parking near the place. I pushed my wheelchair, the other person used a power wheelchair and the rest of the group were able-bodied who helped us get around if we in chairs if we got into needing assistance, which we did a couple of times I would like to thank them for their help.
Access
The access to the tearoom was big enough to have a cup of tea or coffee and a cake or two.
Toilets
The toilet was very small and not suitable for wheelchairs or guide dogs, and there is no red emergency cord.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and obliging in assisting us and showing us around their tearoom.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
If you are going to this place I would recommend that you go the toilet first if you are in a wheelchair.
