Overview

The new Whitney is fantastic! Everything had been thought about - good sized lifts, spacious exhibition spaces allowing you to get up close to the artwork, accessible loos, and v helpful staff. Had great exhibition on of American art through different time periods - wish I could have spent all day there! And the balconies are a highlight with sculptures displayed and great views of NYC.

Transport & Parking

We had just finished Highline before we went to Whitney so for us location was perfect!

Access

Everything had been thought about. In the galleries it was level access throughout and you could get right up to the artwork. There were large print guides available. The were signs advertising free tours and visitors could borrow assistive listening devices.

Toilets

Good sized loos located within the standard restrooms and fitted out to the U.S. standards.
