Overview
Not having flown since 2013 I was invited to test the Eagle 2 Lifter at the Virgin Atlantic Base where we met Geraldine who works for Virgin. The holiday came from this and we couldn't ask for a more friendly team of people to plan this for us. Everything went like clockwork and you couldn't ask for a more professional planned trip. Highly recommend using Virgin for any package holiday.
Transport & Parking
We didn't use the car park but did use the transport to and from the hotel which was first class both ways.
Access
There wasn't one area which you couldn't get into with the wheelchair which was great.
Toilets
We were in room/suite 36109 because it had full access to the toilet via a ceiling hoist the lack of drop-down bars at the toilet didn't matter to me. N.B. any disabled toilet I went into in and around Las Vegas only had one wall hand rail and didn't have a drop down bar.
Staff
The staff at the hotel were amazing and very willing to help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The bedroom opened up to a double door leading to a bath, shower, toilet and wash hand basins which could be accessed from the bed via a ceiling hoist. Lights, blinds, TV and air condition could all be controlled by a 7" clock at the bed. The bed was a profiling bed with massage. I brought my own sling to use with the ceiling hoist. Shower seat is in the corner and wasn't suitable for me to use so the staff brought a portable chair to the room straight away. The shower seat has the space to be moved on the wall which would make it easier to use and to use the shower control.
