Overview
Forest Road, big Irish pub, part of a small family-owned chain. There is a big flight of steps as you enter, but when staff press a button, some of the stairs retract, revealing a good solid wheelchair lift to get you into the main part of the pub. There's a disabled toilet beside the bar near the front door, and staff have good disability awareness. The pub has an upstairs bit, which can't be accessed with a wheelchair, but as all necessary facilities like the live music stage, the bar, dancefloor etc are on the main level, that isn't really a problem. Double doors at entrance have no steps or lips, but you may have to shout to staff if one of the doors is bolted and you're on your own, but as there's usually a bouncer, its not really an issue. would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the doors.
Transport & Parking
double yellows outside as it's city centre, but parking in bristow place.
Access
great , all main features of venue are accessible
Toilets
good disabled access toilet, beside bar. bit of a tight turn, but otherwise fine.
Staff
friendly, helpful staff, good disability awareness
