Venue Description
Step back in time and explore the Victorian streets of Abbey House Museum during a fun family friendly day out. Our Childhood Galleries include doll's houses and toy cars, whilst our exhibition gallery currently explores what Yorkshire is all about. We run children's activities every school holiday. The Gatehouse Cafe provides an unusual setting for refreshments. Combine with a visit to Kirkstall Abbey which is 5 minutes walk away.
Accessibility
The entrance is automatic opening outwards with a clear space of 87cm. The galleries are fully accessible. Please note that there are cobbled streets and some narrow spaces in the Victorian streets. Seating is available. The lift to the second floor is available through the Victorian street which has a capacity for one wheelchair at a time. Accessible toilets in main entrance foyer. A wheelchair is available to borrow on your visit. Entry to the museum is free of charge for carers. An induction loop is in place in entrance foyer.

Toilets
There are accessible toilets in the main entrance foyer. Facilities in the accessible toilet includes an emergency alarm, a fire alarm with a flashing light and baby change unit. The toilet is not RADAR key operated.
