Overview
A very beautiful place to visit in the heart of Sheffield, with no admission fee, excellent disabled access, and events going on throughout the year. There is also the Millennium Gallery museums attached, which are a good place to visit whilst there and host regular exhibitions and events and accommodate everyone.
Transport & Parking
It is in the city centre, a 20 minute walk away from the train station, and there are bus stops a within a 5 minute walk away from the venue. There are also a number of disabled parking bays on the streets surrounding the venue for blue badge holders. Public transport is the most convenient and cheapest form of transport however, due to the location of the venue being in the city centre and limited parking.
Access
There are ramps at each of the entrances to the venue. There are automatic doors which open wide enough to fit through any mobility chair or wheelchair. There is also a lift for wheelchairs in the Millennium Gallery.
Toilets
There is a disabled toilet located on the ground floor in the Millennium Gallery, however for tourists who are unaware of it, it could potentially be quite difficult to find and could be advertised more clearly in the winter garden to make it easier for them to locate. Aside from this it has an adequate amount of space for manoeuvring inside and includes an alarm cord.
Staff
There are friendly staff in the Winter Garden and Millennium Galleries who are willing to help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The Millennium Gallery's hosts exhibition-related talks which are interpreted in British Sign Language, and has large print versions of interpretation within their exhibitions and of their brochures and flyers on request.

This is well worth visiting, easy to visit in a wheelchair because there is plenty of space. There is usually an interesting exhibition to see and there is also a cafe on the lower floor, I haven't tried it yet. I love visiting the gallery on my frequent visits to Sheffield, it is a great city.
