Venue Description
YHA Manchester is a purpose built, stylish modern Youth Hostel located by the canal in the Castlefield area of Manchester, which is just 15 minutes' walk from the city centre and close to one of the free bus routes which operate in the city. We've got plenty of bright and colourful spaces to hang out and make new friends - look out for work by local artists and chat to our welcoming staff for tourist tips.
Accessibility
From the car park there are either steps or a ramp with handrails on either side, leading up to the entrance. The first section of the ramp is shallow and the last section is curved and has a gradient of 1:14 for 9 metres. The entrance is step-free and there is a light manual door. There is step-free access to all ground floor facilities and there is lift access to the upper floors.

This year we won a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor and we also qualify for their Green Leader badge. We also have a four star rating from Visit England and a NAS Mobility level 1 and 2.
Toilets
We have a unisex accessible WC on the ground floor with level access from reception. There is also an accessible unisex WC on the first and second floors which are accessed from the lift. Transfer in all accessible WCs is left-handed.
