Overview

Level and very smooth access, plenty of shops, disabled toilets, lifts. Always clean. Can be a little busy at weekends. Plenty of places to eat. Feels safe to shop. Long opening hours. Would recommend.

Transport & Parking

There is disabled parking (free). However, there could be more as the spots can often be full. Avoid parking indoors/under the sheltered area as you can sometimes return to bird droppings on your car.

Access

Toilets

Radar key needed. However, if you don't have one the staff who look after the toilets have one and are usually on hand. I have one, but 80% of the time a member of staff has offered to unlock it for me before I have got my key out. The air fresheners in the toilets are a little strong at times, so if you are chemically sensitive you might want to use the toilets at John Lewis and Debenhams (either end). However the toilet with the hoist I believe, is central.

Staff

Staff in the centre are good. Shop staff can be helpful or a little patronising (talking to the people with you on your behalf).

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Some stores are excellent and take disabled access really seriously. For example, John Lewis keeps their disabled changing room locked so it's available for those who really need it. I have also experienced a couple of stores who have told me I can't try anything on as they don't have a disabled fitting room.
