This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid

Overview

Some of the many fascinating huts had easier access than others, but enough access overall to make it a worthwhile visit even if you can't get around them easily.

Transport & Parking

4

Plenty of disabled parking spaces near the entrance

Access

3.5

As above some huts were easier to get around than others Not enough room in some of them to be able to move around easily if in a chair. Very helpful volunteer stewards in some of the venues around the park to help

Toilets

3.5

Saw these were available at main entrance & cafe but didn't use them.

Staff

4.5

Really helpful staff except at the entrance in a queue reminiscent of passport control. Not easy either as a stick user. Did not see any mobility scooters to borrow which would have been good. Fascinating place, went two days as tickets last for a year.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

As a lot of visitors were elderly and using either sticks, walking aids, or chairs, the availability of scooters to use for the day would be really useful as the grounds are extensive and even more sitting places would be appreciated. Despite visiting on two days, I was unable to visit it all as too much walking involved as a stick user. Being fast tracked through the long entrance queues would also be appreciated.

Visited April 2016. Agree with all the previous reviewer said. Even for the more able additional seating in the grounds would be nice. As the reviewer said the volunteers are very helpful and as most are elderly they understand the needs of others. The blocks have wheelchair access, the huts are more difficult. Still worth the visit.
